About Us

Patrick Hynes, Founder

As a young Australian from the tiny town of Gumeracha in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, Patrick’s thirst for travel and a new life took him around the world. He settled briefly in Vancouver, fell in love – and eventually landed in California.

However, memories of an idyllic childhood and love for the Australian Way of Life have convinced him that a NEW American Dream does, in fact, now lie in that “lucky country” Down Under.

He is dedicated to spreading the word that Australia does offer the best of all worlds – a place to re-invent your life. A place like home … but better. Safer. Less crowded. And brimming with possibilities.

This website is a GATEWAY to exploring the exciting possibilities offered by this new Work and Holiday Visa. But there are other visa opportunities, too. Whether it’s a quick trip, work and play, education, retirement or a successful new career and family life, Australia may be the answer !

Patrick Hynes is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and the University of Oregon. He has worked as a reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, an information officer for the Australian Consulate-General in San Francisco and a Public Relations Director for an international hotel chain. He currently resides in Orange County, California, but harbors plans of fulfilling his own New American Dream in Australia … perhaps, the Last Frontier.
